I blew it before I built it.

I didn't come to this with a plan. I came in chasing green candles and social-media hype, and the market did what it does to everyone who starts that way — it took its tuition. Stretches of losses, revenge trades that dug the hole deeper, the whole cycle.

04 / WHO'S BEHIND IT

Meet Helal Safi.

I'm a first-generation Lebanese-American out of Paris, Texas, and I studied computer science and economics at Texas State — which is a tidy way of saying I think in systems and I think in incentives, usually at the same time.

I'm most at home where tech meets the outdoors, and the way I approach work is simple: I'd rather start with the outcome someone's after and engineer toward it than patch problems one at a time. Same instinct, whether I'm building a site, wiring up automation, or reading a chart.
